ALMA : a boost for all young people's inclusion

11/10/2022 17:30

11/10/2022 18:30

(CET) Hora de Europa central

In the EU, around 13 % of young people aged 15-29 are not in employment, education or training (NEETs). They are the most disadvantaged young people, falling between the cracks of the system, because of underlying difficulties such as family or personal issues, disability, or a migrant background.
The ALMA initiative (“Aim, Learn, Master, Achieve”) aims to support disadvantaged young people not in education, vocational training or employment to integrate into the labour market in their home country, following a supervised work-related learning experience in another EU country.
ALMA will be implemented under the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and it will be one of the key initiatives of the European Commission under the European Year of Youth 2022.
For more information on ALMA, please visit the websites of the European Commission and of TLN-mobility.

This info-session will provide practical tips on how to launch and implement ALMA.
It will gather a panel of experts who will share their hands-on experience in mobility of disadvantaged young people. There will be examples of stories and good practices from EU-funded projects, including testimonies of young people who participated in a work-related experience in another Member State.

Interested participants will be invited to register as from 22nd August 2022 in the EURegions Week 2022 webpage (on a ‘first come, first served’ basis).
Please note that the event will be in English only.
