Mock Council of the EU

Each representative will represent a specific EU country and argue the motion from that country's perspective rather than their own personal one. This will require some research to find out how the issue for debate is viewed by the government of the country they will be representing.

Each speaker will make a 1-minute opening statement. This will be followed by an open debate facilitated by the speaker who will keep track of who has spoken and will give everyone a chance to contribute.

At the end of the debate, there will be a break for tea/coffee etc. while the judges deliberate. The winner will then be announced and will receive a prize.
