Eternal city treasures

An introductory session of the Spring Anthropological Academy is being held within the framework of the solidarity project “Timeless Urban Treasures”, implemented by a youth team focused on researching and preserving urban memory.

The academy brings together young participants who will be introduced to the essence of anthropology as a discipline studying humans, culture, and social practices. The programme includes an overview of key methods of field research, observation, interviewing, and working with ethnographic data.

A particular emphasis is placed on the study of “memory places” in the urban environment—spaces of cultural, emotional, and social significance that shape community identity. Participants will work on approaches for documenting and preserving these places using anthropological tools.

The academy aims to encourage young people to develop sensitivity toward the urban environment, recognize hidden cultural layers, and actively contribute to the preservation of local heritage.
