European Youth Week 2026 Kick-off event

The kick-off event of the European Youth Week 2026, co-organised by the European Commission and the European Parliament, will take place on Friday, 24 April 2026, at the European Parliament premises in Brussels. The event will bring together around 1,000 young people from across Europe and beyond.

Building on the success and legacy of previous editions of the European Youth Week, the kick-off event will focus on the themes of solidarity and fairness, aiming to amplify the voices, aspirations, and initiatives of young people while showcasing youth-oriented opportunities and programmes.

The event will open with a plenary session, followed by a wide range of activities organised by European institutions and relevant stakeholders, including breakout sessions on various topics, a marketplace with stands, and a networking event.

In parallel, a physical exhibition will be hosted outside the European Parliament to celebrate the 30th anniversary of EU-funded volunteering.
