🌍 Welcome to Bonn – A City Where History and Democracy Meet!
Join us for an exciting DiscoverEU Meet-up in the heart of Bonn, the former capital of West Germany, as we dive into the topic “Paths of Democracy”. This meet-up is an opportunity to connect with other DiscoverEU travellers as well as discuss European unity and the lessons we can learn from the past.
✨ Why Bonn?
Bonn isn’t just famous for Beethoven and Haribo – it also holds a special place in Germany’s history as the centre of democratic governance before the reunification of East and West Germany. It is the perfect backdrop for reflecting on what democracy means today, both in Germany and across Europe.
🗳️ What to expect:
Interactive workshops on the meaning and foundations of democracy.
Reflections on your DiscoverEU travels: Share your experiences from your DiscoverEU journeys and connect with other young people from different countries.
City exploration in Bonn, the old town, riverbank, fun group activities, and of course the famous Haribo shop!
