DiscoverEU Meet-up Reykjavík JUNE 19-21, 2024

Join us for two nights in Reykjavik, sightseeing and cultural activity. 

Please note: In order to participate in the meet up in Iceland with DiscoverEU you must have already booked flight tickets through https://help.start-discover.eu/ (All tickets to Iceland have now been booked and there are no more flight tickets available to Iceland through DiscoverEU).

The Icelandic National Agency for Erasmus+ is happy to invite DiscoverEU participants who will be in Iceland to meet up in Reykjavik, Iceland in June.  The meet-up includes accommodation for 12 people in a dormitory for two nights at the Youth Hostel Dalur in Reykjavik. This is on first come-first serve basis and cannot be guaranteed, please sign up using the form – we will inform you if you have been selected.

The meet-up also includes a sight-seeing tour to the Golden Circle (Including national park Þingvellir, Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir geothermal area), as well as a BBQ dinner. 
As the 19th of June is the Women‘s rights day in Iceland, we will celebrate by including talks, thoughts and an overview on gender equality in Iceland in the program. 

Please note that the sightseeing tour is included for the 12 participants accommodated at the hostel and can receive up to 8 additional participants who are staying in their own accommodation. 

Program (subject to change depending on weather or change in number of participants)

19th of June: Participants arrive at Youth Hostel Dalur. Ticket to nearby public swimming pool provided for those who arrive during the day. The swimming pool has naturally hot geothermal water with a number of different hot tubs, swimming pool, play pool, slide, steam room. Changing rooms are gender separated and gender neutral facilities can be requested. The pool has wheelchair accessibility and wheelchair accessible changing rooms. Participants must shower before entering the pool. Bathing suit can be rented but we encourage you to bring your own.

20th of June: Sight-seeing tour to the Golden Circle with a private bus and guide. Afternoon/dinner activity after the tour, including a BBQ.

21st of June: Check-out from hostel.
