Join us for midsummer above the Arctic circle!

Bodø is an idyllic town in northern Norway. Just above the arctic circle. In and around the city are majestic mountains, fjords, the strongest maelstrom in the world and a bustling cultural life. We want to share some of this with you and here is what you will experience with us. 

June 17: Arrival
We will arrange for the trip, too and from Bodø. Depending on where you are, it will be by train or bus. Contact us, so that we can arrange the best way for you to get here. Food or meals are not included on the travel to and from Bodø, so remember to bring your own. 

June 18: 
In the morning until early afternoon, we have workshops that will give an insight into our Sami culture. 

In the afternoon we are taking you back to the stoneage. The history at this place goes back 11.000 years. Here you will eat food like they did, in a gamme (old tent/cabin) and hear stories from that time. 

June 19: 
In the morning we will go sea rafting. We cannot let you leave Bodø without having experienced the world`s strongest maelstrom. 

In the afternoon we will be attending a youth festival, Hjertebankfestivalen, with both local and national artists. 

 

Accommodation

You will stay at an hotel in the city. Expect to share a bedroom with one other person (single beds).

 

Food and drink
Lunch and dinner are provided on both June 18 and 19. This is an alcohol free meet up, from the time you get here, until you leave. 

 

Important information

Please note that the program may be subject to changes depending on the weather. Most activities will take place regardless of rain, so remember to bring appropriate clothing and footwear. 

There are only 15 places in this meet up and deadline to register is sunday May 18th.
