Programmes

Erasmus+

Iceland is a full member of the Erasmus+ programme. Icelandic students can take part of their degree in another European country and apply for an Erasmus+ grant. This is done through the international office at their university in Iceland. Studying abroad is a central part of Erasmus+ and has been shown to have a positive effect on later job prospects. It is also an opportunity to improve language skills, gain self-confidence and independence and immerse yourself in a new culture. Erasmus+ also offers the chance to combine studying abroad with a traineeship. Opportunities are available for students at short cycle Bachelor, Master or Doctoral levels.

Nordplus

The Nordplus Programme offers financial support between partners in the area of lifelong learning from the eight participating countries and three autonomous regions in the Baltic and Nordic area.

Fulbright

The Fulbright Program is known worldwide as the flagship program for top students and scholars – studying, researching and working with the best in their fields. The Fulbright Program is based upon a bi-national agreement from 1957 between Iceland and the U.S.A
