Volunteering opportunities abroad

The European Solidarity Corps enables young people (18-30) to gain valuable experience in and outside Europe through a voluntary trip. Anyone aged 18-30 years from EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia can leave. Turkey and the countries neighboring the EU. It is enough if you meet the age limit of 18-30 years. It is possible to register at the age of 17 and after reaching the age of 18 for the first time to go somewhere. You don’t have to study and you don’t even need work experience. There is no perfect knowledge of a foreign language. It is enough if you can speak English or the language of the country at a very basic level. If you stay longer than two months, you can also take a classic or online language course during your stay. With the European Solidarity Corps, you can go all over Europe or within the Czech Republic. In addition, you can also go to other countries outside Europe, such as Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine or Syria. You can choose between individual and team volunteering.

Solidarity projects

A solidarity project is initiated, prepared and implemented by a group of young people who show solidarity by responding to key challenges in the local community and thus contributing to positive change. This is a national initiative that reflects European values. The aim of the projects is to find solutions to current and future social problems, to strengthen mutual understanding, to contribute to positive changes and to promote the creation of a more inclusive society. An informal group of at least five young people aged 18 to 30 years, including those who are residents of the Czech Republic, may participate. A group of young people may also apply under the auspices of an organisation that will carry out, for example, administrative tasks. The group can benefit from coaching support. The project period is 2–12 months. The costs associated with project management, coaching costs and extraordinary costs are financed by 100 % according to the application (intended to support the involvement of team/participants with handicaps or specific needs).
