The New European Bauhaus initiative promotes cooperation between citizens, experts, businesses, and institutions, all working together so that they might rethink sustainable living not just in Europe but also as a model for the rest of the world. It goes beyond concept and ideation; and it provides access to EU funds for initiatives that are both spectacular and environmentally sound, with inclusivity at their center.
The New European Bauhaus Prizes 2024 edition offer a fascinating list of 4 main categories, each one with 2 strands. Each innovative idea can find a place!
The 2 strands in competition are:
- 'Champions' is for ongoing or completed projects;
- 'Rising Stars' is for up-and-coming talent and provides a diverse canvas for creativity (Target: -30 years old youth!).
The New European Bauhaus Prizes this year embrace Ukraine, broadening their reach beyond Western Balkans and EU Member States. The prizes defined as "Special Recognition to Ukraine's Reconstruction and Recovery Effort" are intended to encourage Ukraine's ongoing restoration work and honor their dedication in creating a better future.
Additionally, one fourth of the Prizes will be granted to projects positively impacting geographical areas with socioeconomic difficulties and a pressing need for a transition to a carbon-neutral economy.
