Apply now and get a chance to be one of the 40,000 young Europeans to win a travel pass!
Applications for the Spring 2026 call are open on the European Youth Portal from 8 April noon (CET) until 22 April 2026 noon (CET).
DiscoverEU is a programme of the European Union that offers young people, exclusively at the age of 18, the opportunity to receive a travel pass to explore Europe, a unique adventure and learning experience you’ll remember forever.
To apply, you must:
- have celebrated or will celebrate their 18th birthday between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026, i.e. those young people born between 1 July 2007 (included) and 30 June 2008 (included);
- be citizens or residents of one of:
- the Member States of the European Union including its outermost regions, or
- the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) associated with the European Union, or
- the third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Türkiye.
If you win, you will have the chance to travel between 1 and 30 days (max 7 days on train), anytime between 1 July 2026 and 30 September 2027.
Plus, you will also receive a DiscoverEU discount card with reductions on cultural visits, learning activities, sports, local transportation, accommodation, food and much more!
And if you want to travel with your friends, you absolutely can if they meet the eligibility criteria and you submit the application together.
If you have a disability or health-related issue that could potentially impact your travel experience, don’t worry, because you will receive further assistance and support.
Want tips from people who’ve already done it? Connect with the DiscoverEU Ambassadors in the DiscoverEU Facebook Group. You can also meet other travellers there, share your plans, organise meet-ups, and get inspired.
Ready to apply? Check the full details (rules and FAQs) and good luck!
Are you too young to participate in this round? Don’t worry! Rounds return every year in Autumn as well as in Spring.
