At the EU Youth Conference in Dublin (27-30 September 2026), youth delegates finalised the revision of the European Youth Goals.
The European Youth Goals summarise the issues affecting young people in Europe and the priorities that are important to them. The original European Youth Goals were initially created during the 6th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue and are annexed to the EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027).
The European Commission, working in collaboration with the European Youth Forum and researchers supporting the EU Youth Dialogue, developed a participatory youth-led process designed to enable young people across Europe to contribute to revising the Youth Goals. The purpose was to update rather than rewrite them completely, as part of the revision of the EU Youth Strategy, and to ensure they remain relevant to young people.
Drawing on consultations, proposals from the Youth Goals Task Force, and results from previous cycles of the EU Youth Dialogue, youth delegates at the EU Youth Conference in Dublin worked together on drafting and amending the Youth Goals.
The outcome of their work is a set of 12 European Youth Goals which reflects the voices and priorities of young people today:
- Democracy And Meaningful Participation
- Equality Of All Genders
- Inclusive Societies
- Information, Dialogue And Digital Environments
- Mental Health And Wellbeing
- Moving Rural Youth Forward
- Quality Employment For All
- Quality Learning
- Dignified Living
- Sustainability And Climate Justice
- Youth Organisations, Youth Work And EU Programmes
- Peace And Security
