Explore new Training Kit to manage youth projects

Dernière modification le Mercredi, 03/06/2026

The 2nd edition of the Training Kit (T-Kit) 3 on project management is out now! With updated theories, adaptable tools, templates and questions for reflection, the new edition explores the different components to managing a successful youth project.

The Youth Partnership’s Training Kit 3 on project management has served as a tool for youth work across Europe since it was first published in 2000, with the aim to support project managers involved in international youth projects.

Nevertheless, emerging social concerns, such as shrinking civic space and democratic backsliding, have made it timely to revisit this T-Kit so that it includes the diversified approaches of funding institutions, in addition to the growing number of opportunities for young people to implement youth projects in Europe.

This edition is more accessible in its approach and it is designed to be used by young people, early-career youth workers and youth leaders seeking guidance for the implementation of their projects.

Structured into 3 chapters, the updated T-Kit can be used flexibly depending on the specific needs of each user.

  • Chapter 1 focuses on the theory and main concepts behind project management.
  • Chapter 2 looks at the wider contexts in which youth project are managed.
  • Chapter 3 provides practical tips in managing the lifecycle of youth projects and also addresses responsibilities and tasks of key stakeholders.

As such, the manual seeks to emphasise the importance of approaching youth project management from a collective perspective, with particular emphasis on youth participation.
