Have Your Say on the EU Anti-Poverty Strategy
Last updated on Tuesday, 23/09/2025
The European Commission has opened a call for evidence and public consultation on a new EU Anti-Poverty Strategy. The strategy will contribute to implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights and achieving the EU 2030 poverty reduction target.
It aims to focus on major objectives such as promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, improving access to education and employment, and providing social protection and support to vulnerable groups. The strategy's priorities also include addressing the root causes of poverty, such as lack of education and skills, and promoting social cohesion and reducing inequality, with a particular focus on supporting children, young people, and families at risk of poverty.
This initiative is going through the youth check process. As such, this is an opportunity for youth groups and youth civil society organisations to contribute with their views highlighting the concrete challenges that they face and identifying possible actions to be taken by the EU and its Member States to address those challenges.
