Do you want to shape EU policymaking? Share your views on the new Citizens’ Engagement Platform and exchange ideas with citizens from across the European Union!

The European Commission is launching the new Citizens’ Engagement Platform: an open and democratic online space where you can express your ideas on different issues and exchange with other EU citizens.  

Citizens called for this tool during the Conference on the Future of Europe, and we have delivered. The Platform aims to empower citizens, especially young people, to make their voices heard in a collaborative, dynamic, and digital way. What’s more, translation technology will enable citizens to read and engage in their own language!  

The Platform's first debate is on Energy Efficiency. Citizens’ online contributions will feed into onsite deliberations of the European Citizens’ Panel starting on 23 February. The Panel’s recommendations will inform the upcoming EU Recommendation on the “Energy Efficiency First” principle.
