Last updated on Wednesday, 10/04/2024
The European Youth Week 2024 will kick-off very soon. If you want to follow the opening plenary session taking place in the European Parliament in Brussels, we have good news! It will be webstreamed.
The plenary session on 12 April will serve as a platform for dialogue between high-level figures and young representatives, aiming at engaging, connecting, and empowering young people to actively participate in the democratic life of Europe. A specific focus will be given to the upcoming European elections.
This will be a plenary session with:
- Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament (video message)
- Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission (video message)
- Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth
Followed by a panel discussion on "Empowering Youth: Democracy, Participation, and European Elections". To make it more interactive, young participants (attending in person) will be allowed to give their opinion on specific questions via the voting buttons on the seats in the hemicycle.
