Youth Climate LAB: Integrating TEK at Education for Climate Day
Sist oppdatert Onsdag, 01/10/2025
Discover the action package developed during the third edition of the Youth Climate LAB - an immersive, peer learning experience where young changemakers explored how Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) can transform learning communities across Europe.
🌍Between 15 and 20 September 2025, 21 participants aged 16 to 26 and representing various countries from the European Education Area, came together to create an action package focused on integrating traditional ecological knowledge into learning communities.
The action package has been co-designed to address identified issues through four recommendations, which include specific actions that educators, youth, policy makers and the civil society at large can implement.
The participants took one step further by developing a learning scenario for young citizens in the form of a one-week project to run together with educators. The main goal is learning while preparing for a debate simulation on traditional ecological knowledge and modern ecological knowledge.
This action package will be presented at the Education for Climate Day 2025 on 23 October 2025.
You can read the full action package, engage with the authors and support them to pilot these ideas in your learning community.
