Yes, the training in all its parts (online and face-to-face) is compulsory for all candidate volunteers willing to take part in Humanitarian Aid volunteering projects, independently from their background. However, considering your background, you can expect the training not to be a big burden. The Commission is reflecting on the possibility for candidates who have already successfully completed the training for EU Aid Volunteers, to be exempted from having to follow some of the compulsory training courses.
