We are waiting active young people for our brand new EVS project! If you want to explore the actual grassroots work and bring change to the local communities you are in the right place! The project's base will be in a rural area called Nógrád county, which is one of the poorest regions in Hungary. 4 volunteers from Portugal, France, Estonia and Czech Republic would gather together for bringing social changes to the region. For 9 months volunteers organize English speaking action-based learning events for local roma and non roma children and youngsters with the emphasis on the healthy and eco-friendly life-style. Youth workers all the time support and follow-up the volunteers’ learning path, ensure safe environment in the development process of EVSers. They actively participate in the life of local communities, conducting green actions, supporting local initiatives, spreading information about international programs.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
4 EVSers live together in one apartment or family house. Basic furniture, washing machine, cooking equipment, bicycles, wifi, bed sheets are provided. Volunteers share rooms and clean regularly by their own. The accommodation is in Szécsény which is a lively town with cc. 6000 inhabitants, moderated social life, basic institutions (bank, health center, supermarkets, coffee bars,high schools, community centers, gas station, and pharmacy). It is directly connected to all locations where you work and to Budapest as well.
Teilnehmerprofil
We expect volunteers to be independent in communication, willing and able to express their needs and state, motivated, enthusiastic, cheerful, willing to cooperate with other people, able to live in a rural area, supporting eco-friendly way of life. We communicate to the volunteers from the beginning that the project is an intense learning process and it needs strong intention to participate in the activities and take it as opportunity for growth. We are open to any race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, political view.
