FOR YOUTH INITIATIVE II is a six months project for four volunteers between 18 - 30 years old coming from Romania and Spain. We would like to provide to the volunteers, the opportunity of participating in our local projects helping in the daily tasks like preparing the agenda, who to contact, etc, in order to improve their skills and knowledge and give them useful work experience that can be useful in their future, professional or volunteer life, inside any organization. The volunteers will always receive proper support from the staff. In any case, the volunteers are expected to have openness and pro-active volunteering attitude. The tasks of the volunteers will be shared, even if each volunteer will have a specific field to step in. The daily work can be divided into several key areas, considering his/her expectations and our needs. Volunteers will have the opportunity to develop/create their own projects. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will share an apartment in Faro with all the necessary equipment and utilities. Volunteers will be getting monthly allowance as well as money for nutrition to arrange meals on their own. All volunteers will have CIGNA Insurance. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the regulation of the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme Guide.

Training during the activity

Contextos will provide the volunteers with a programmed learning cycle that includes 1 Induction training in the first weeks upon the arrival, one mid-term evaluation, and a final evaluation meeting during the last month of the project. Also, different occasional workshops will take place during the project, according to the learning needs of the volunteers for the benefit of personal and professional development but also to the ESC experience.

Participant profile

We consider that the following profile features are particularly important to the adaptation of the volunteers to this project: 1) Enthusiasm, motivation to participate in our project; 2) Flexibility to work with different teams and target groups and also to work on weekends (only if needed); 3) Willing to develop new projects and workshops; 4) Motivation to self-development, and engagement in volunteering; 5) High sociability skills; 6) Interest and autonomy to develop their own personal activities with the support of the team;
