Description
Vestjyllands Højskole is a Folk High Schools that offers non-formal adult education. Most students are between 18 and 26 years old. We have dance, ecology, theatre, singing, music, ceramics, painting ,writing, and cooking on the schedule. We have a large ecological garden, which is maintained by local voluntaries. The volunteer will spend most of the time working in the garden and in that way he will contribute to the overall mission of the garden, but also the creation of new social and cultural networks between Danes and foreigners through ecological gardening and the use of those products in the kitchen, strengthen the knowledge in the local community about the importance of the food in relation to health and a healthy life. Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will live at the school.
Formation pendant l’activité
There is a mentor who is responsible for answering any questions and supervising the work of the volunteer. The volunteer will participate in an on arrival training and mid-term meeting.
Profil du participant
The volunteer should be interested in education and ecology, willing to engage in the practical work in the organic garden, flexible and mature, interested in sustainable gardening and permaculture.
