Description
The center provides two services: Day care services and full-time day care (the children are staying at home). It is working with: children in the street; child baggers; children exposed to violence, left without general education, with behavioral disorders etc. The Center has a multidisciplinary team (social workers, psychologists, social pedagogues, lawyer, doctors) The task for the volunteer will be all activities with children between 5 and 15: Organize leisure time activities, give German lessons (informal), help the children with homework, organize workshops to promote the creativy of the children. The project's main goal is to provide educational activities and to help them to get prepared for the independent life, to help them in their everyday tasks etc. !! Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will live in a guest house reserved for volunteers during her/his entire service. It is situated very close to the center of Yerevan, capital of Armenia, which is an asset to volunteer’s inclusion in the social life. On a monthly basis the volunteer will receive an allowance for food. The volunteer will receive monthly payments for personal expenses. The guest house is situated in the safe quarter of the city. The volunteer will be supported by HUJ should they need medical or other help. The volunteer will be reimbursed for the international travel costs.
Formation pendant l’activité
Pedagogical support will be provided by the supervisor of the project who is working many years at Zatik centre and with volunteers. Besides supervisor, the volunteer will get the support from all employees especially from the responsible of the groups where the volunteers are working. The volunteers will have a Armenian classes twice a week. These classes will help the volunteers to communicate with the children easier.
Profil du participant
