Description

In this project, you will be offered to participate in the following library activities: book fairs, readings, supervision of public bookcases, mobile library, project management, support with social media, reading to children and senior citizens, conducting workshops, guided tours and accompanying/experimenting in the Maker-space for the "FH Researcher-Kids" and in the areas of media education and gaming. You will be offered a wide range of interesting library services, such as back-sorting media, designing media exhibition areas, advising for customers, designing and carrying out workshops for children as well as for youth and adults, support in event management, public relations and social media. Moreover, you may participate in activities such as "Reading in the Park" or think about and implement offers for the annual project with the company kindergarten. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accomodation: private room in shared apartment or students' hostel in Wr. Neustadt Pocket money: 210 EUR / month Food reimbursement: 390 EUR / month Transport arrangement: 60 EUR for public transport / month

Training during the activity

On-Arrival-Training and Mid-Term-Meeting offered by the National Agency German language course according to your individual level

Participant profile

Volunteers should be ... - friendly and team-players - open-minded and happy to work with different target groups (children, youth, adults, elderly, people with migrant backgrounds) - interested in gaining new skills, ie. in project management, event management, designing and carrying out workshops etc. - self-reliant and reliable - eager to immerse in Austrian culture and language ATTENTION!
