Description
Assisting in the department workcamps: You can experience interesting projects by supporting them with your talents and work. You can experience diversity and have lots of fun interacting with people from all over the world. You can learn how to live and work within an international group. Main area of tasks will be managing the registrations and supporting the placement of international volunteers in ICJA workcamps abroad and in Germany. The general tasks will include: administrative work in a workcamp organization and participating in national camp leader training, being camp leader in different workcamps, communicating with international partners and volunteers, assisting with promotion of our program in social media, documenting special projects (website, social media, print, fotos), learning how to use CMS system “typo 3” to update the website or making use of databases and webtools.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will receive food fee (333 Euro/month), pocket money (7€ per day), money for public transport (Deutschland Ticket, 58€ per month). The volunteer will receive a financial support to the travel costs from their place of origin to Germany and back, the amount depends on the distance travelled. They will also receive health insurance. Accomodation: The volunteer will live in a shared apartment in his/her own room.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will participate in ESC seminars and internal ICJA trainings.
Participant profile
Required skills and interests of the volunteer: strong interest in the topic, and the field of workcamps and nonformal learning, basic knowledge about intercultural communication, inclusion, work against racism, international or national youth work, good knowledge of English is necessary and good knowledge of German (B2).
