Description
Nouveaux Disparus is a fairground theater company that conducts a unique work of its kind: working for cultural accessibility with, as a tool, a marquee that sets up primarily in disadvantaged areas of cities and towns in Belgium and abroad. Cultural democracy as insertion lever and equality is the common thread running through all of its activities. During the first part of the volunteering period, the volunteer will discover and observe the functioning of the Company while trying out different tasks. These tasks will be gradually defined according to his/her affinities, motivations and the company's activities and needs. The volunteer has access to different types of learning and activities. There are several areas of work within the Company: socio-cultural animation, cultural mediation, administrative, technical and artistic. The Company's team is a dynamic team made up of people who are used to training young people and who therefore have the qualities of welcoming and listening.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
You will be accommodated in a flat in Brussels, sharing with other European volunteers. Accommodation and transport will be provided by the organisation. Transport includes both the return ticket from your current home to Brussels and a Brussels transport ticket with a monthly subscription (bus, train, tram, metro). In addition, you will receive a monthly amount of pocket money to cover your needs (food, outings etc.). The structure also takes care of all logistical needs related to your mission.
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer is expected to actively participate in the company's various projects. The volunteer's missions and tasks are determined by mutual agreement according to his/her skills, interests and motivations. An enriching and versatile experience that combines artistic and technical discoveries, project management and event organisation. The volunteer will have the opportunity to train in different fields, listed above, according to his/her affinities.
Profil du participant
We are looking for a young aged 18 to 30 years. We are looking for a person with the following qualities: • motivated, • versatile, which can easily be adapted, • curious, open-minded, • endowed with a team spirit, • interested in culture, in particular theater and street arts, • for whom French is the mother tongue or is fluent in oral and written.
