Become a volunteer at Slezská Diakonie School in Nový Bohumín! We support children and young adults with mental and physical disabilities through high-quality education and comprehensive social services. Our mission is to provide personalized education using creative teaching methods. Activities: As a volunteer, you will work directly with children in the kindergarten and school. Your role includes providing personal support in activities like morning circles, practical tasks, physical activities, relaxation techniques, music therapy, art therapy, and snoezelen therapy. You will assist teachers during lessons in subjects such as math, writing, reading, music, art, and cooking. You’ll also join in on excursions and trips outside of the classroom. You should also be communicative, proactive, and capable of working effectively in a team. A positive attitude is essential when interacting with people in general, and especially with individuals with disabilities. Additionally, it’s important to be proactive and willing to learn the Czech language.
