Descripción

The volunteers provide supportive care and activities for children, young people and adults with mental health problems under the guidance of on-site specialists. Basic knowledge of clinical diagnoses of the patients, as well as the therapeutic, educational and caring contact with children and adolescents and adults with psychiatric disorders will be acquired. All professional profiles that are necessary in the clinical context are conveyed. The volunteers support professionals in everyday fields of work such as household chores and office work, as well as organizational and documentation work. They communicate and cooperate with specialist staff in the inpatient therapeutic setting. They get to know problems and conflicts and their possible solutions. Moreover: Reflection and implementation of possible courses of action in dealing with mentally ill people, symptom tolerance, therapeutic thinking, participation in therapeutic action etc.

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

Accommodation is provided locally and fully paid by Johannes Diakonie Mosbach. Full board (288€) is paid monthly. Costs for a local transport ticket and for travel to Mosbach are also paid by Johannes Diakonie Mosbach

Formación durante la actividad

Arrival and mid-term training with the National Agency. On-the-job training from on-site professionals as required. Events for volunteers organised by Johannes-Diakonie Mosbach
