Volunteering with La Enredadera
ASOCIACION CULTURAL EUROACCION MURCIA
LA ENREDADERA VIVENCIAL SCHOOL
Puente Tocinos, MURCIA, Spain
Description
Volunteer activities will involve 30–38 hours per week. More information about the project can be found at: https://app.smore.com/n/zryfbx-volunteering-with-la-enredadera. Completing the online application form available there is strongly recommended to take part in the selection process. The volunteer will carry out their activities within the local community of La Enredadera, which is mainly composed of children, parents, staff, and other volunteers involved in the project. The initiative aims to foster the development of knowledge and skills among all participants, promoting shared learning and collaboration. It also seeks to raise awareness among professionals and families about the need for educational and family system reform, encouraging reflection and active participation in building more inclusive and participatory educational practices.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will live in a shared flat in the city centre of Murcia with other volunteers. Each volunteer will have a private room to ensure comfort, privacy, and personal space. The coordinating organisation will cover the rent and utility bills throughout the project. In addition, the project provides food support (€184 per month), pocket money (€186 per month), local transport, medical insurance, and travel costs from the volunteer’s place of residence to Murcia and back, in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme rules.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will take part in the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation organised by the Spanish National Agency. These activities are an essential part of the European Solidarity Corps programme and provide participants with guidance, support, and opportunities for intercultural learning. They also offer a space to reflect on the volunteering experience, exchange feedback with other volunteers, and evaluate personal and professional development throughout the project.
Participant profile
This project is open to young people aged 18–30 who have not previously participated in a European Volunteering Service (EVS) or European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project. Our organisation will prioritise the selection of young people with fewer opportunities. The selection of volunteers will be based on their attitude, motivation, and willingness to actively participate in the project. We particularly value candidates who demonstrate genuine motivation, a strong commitment to the values of the project, and a responsible approach to their tasks. We are looking for open-minded and engaged young people who are ready to contribute to the project’s objectives. Responsibility, initiative, and a positive attitude will be highly appreciated. Basic knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset, although it is not required.
