Description
Asociación Mojo de Caña was founded in 2001, in Santa Brigida municipality (Gran Canaria Island,Spain). The Association consists of people that are in love with activism, oriented toward social development projects and inclusion; using arts, non-formal education, human rights based education as a motor for social change. Our main office is in Gran Canaria, but we also have delegations in La Palma island, Tenerife, Madrid and Cordoba. WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR CORDOBA! Your tasks will be: help in the office (answering emails, developing concepts, campaigns, presentations, educational summer camps, festivals, promoting EU projects etc.) and work in direct contact with the local community (people of all ages). Your creativity, and eagerness to contribute, will be essential, also personal ideas and input will be highly appreciated. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will share a flat with other youngsters in the city of Cordoba. The volunteer will have a private room, and shared common areas. All costs (travel, food, local transport, health insurance) will be covered by the organization under the European Solidarity Corps framework. Only the wifi could be at the volunteer's expense when not included in the rental.
Training during the activity
These are the following trainings you'll have to join: - Pre-departure Training: it's a training course proposed by the sending entity from the volunteer's country aiming to prepare the participant to the project. - Arrival Training: upon arrival, Mojo de Caña will provide the volunteer with basic training to promote their inclusion in local community, to know tasks, activities and context. - Compulsory National Agency's Arrival Training and Mid-term Evaluation to provide specific training for the volunteers.
