Description
The volunteering is organised with the sport federation of la Ligue de l'enseignement - FOL69 named USEP (https://usep.org/). The main goal of USEP is to organise sport activities in public schools (for children aged between 3 - 12 years). All the sport activities are co-organised with teachers and parents. As a volunteer, you will support the team in : • Preparing the logistical aspects of the sport activities (equipment, space setup, schedules). • Supporting teachers and parents during the event by providing clear instructions and helping coordinate the different activity stations. • Helping animate the event by guiding children, ensuring safety, and contributing to a positive and inclusive atmosphere. • Contributing to communication efforts: updating the website, and posting on social media to promote the association’s activities. This mission is open to two volunteers who will initially work as a pair, in addition to the USEP team and French civic service volunteers.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will live in a shared appartment with other volunteers and students. The volunteer will have an individual room and access to a kitchen (with a food allowance). The residence is well connected with a metro line, buses and easy access to bike lanes throughout the city. A public transportation card or a membership card for the city bike (Vélov’) will be provided. According to the programme, an allowance is provided for personnal expenses.
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will have access to linguistic support (online platform and French class depending on needs). The volunteer will take part in the two training weeks organized by the ESC National Agency during the mission. Also they will attend to a final training organised by FOL69. According to the activities and opportunities within the host organisation, the volunteer will also be able to attend all the meetings, trainings and group works organised locally. The volunteer will have a tutor.
Profil du participant
We need a motivated volunteer willing to work and share with children and people from different backgrounds! This mission requires a strong sense of adaptability. It is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, dynamic environments, communication, and contributing to educational and civic projects through sport. A basic / medium level of French is required to be able to communicate with the staff and the target groups.
