Description
Beaumont high school welcomes students from secondary school to high school : from 11 to 20 years old. The volunteer's tasks will be as follows : - Supporting the students in activities that may open their minds on Europe : games, activities, events, exhibitions, passions that the volunteer would like to share - Accompanying the teaching team in their classes with non-formal education practices : activities around the volunteers's country, games... ; - Accompanying students with their homework; - Workshops / personal projects of the volunteer during the time outside of class (game workshops, sports; - Animation of the life of the school and awareness of international issues; - School life - support to educational team. The volunteer will also take part in a collective project with the other volunteers hosted in Redon to promote openness to Europe, the international scene and the ESC programme.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will share a flat together with other European volunteers of Redon or with French people. He/she will get a food allowance of 7,45 € / day + 7,00 € / day for pocket money. There is no public transport in Redon but the volunteer will have the possibility to rent a bicycle for 5 € / month. The train station is located at 10 minutes walk from the flats. Redon is located at less that 1 hour from Rennes and Nantes.
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will get the support of the Beaumont' team in the different pedagogic activities he/she will be involved in and will be trained all along the project and according to the needs. On another hand, the volunteer will have the support from the Volunteers coordinator in Mapar (coordinating organization for the European Volunteers in Redon), who will support the volunteer during all his / her stay. The volunteer will also get 3 hours/ week French classes during the project + Online Linguistic Support access
Profil du participant
Curious, motivated, open-minded, ready to share a flat and a social life with other volunteers and a team, willing to learn French, willing to share one's passions, hobbies, culture, language. Basis of French will be highly appreciated.
