Description
Our youth organization is working mainly with kids and teens with the focus to support them and foster their strengths. This is mainly done during kids camps, special actions, sports and close cooperation with local entities, schools and the local church. Working very independant we offer the ESC volunteer a wide spectrum of work which may be individually adapted to his/her strengths and interests, including for example interesting IT tasks (mainting data base/member accounts, website, marketing on our social media plattforms), musical or theatrical projects with teens, sports actions and many more. We are free to adapt our programme to the skills and wishes of our volunteer and welcome new input and ideas.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
We aim to offer accommodation in a flat-sharing community to our volunteer. He/she will get extra money for food and transport. A bicycle is ready for you but also bus/train is available close by in order to reach the neighboring town of Ulm with approx. 150.000 inhabitants and the worlds tallest church tower. Even bigger cities like Stuttgart or Munich can be reached within 1 hour, same as Lake Contance or the Alpes.
Training during the activity
The volunteer will be given regurar input/training about working with kids/teens, first-aid and as well a language course if needed
Participant profile
You should be open and curious and happy to work with children and teens. Our project is quite flexible i.e. we can adjust our yearly projects to your skills and interests. All of our team members are working as volunteers as well for our organization i.e. you will be working quite independantly during the days while our main activities will be taking place in the afternoon, evening, weekend and school holidays. But don't be scared. Thanks to close cooperation with local schools you'll be having enough encounters during the day
