Description
.We are looking for a volunteer for our residential group, which houses young underage refugees who just came to Germany. There are about 40 young people (only male) in the accommodation, who we are looking after on a daily basis. Many tasks focus on building relationships with the boys. There will be various tasks: tutoring German, playing games, building relationships, doing sports activities, "hanging out". But also tasks such as tidying up, helping with cleaning, explaining rules and making sure they are implemented, eating together and much more. There are different tasks every day. The volunteer will also have the opportunity to start their own project with the young people.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
As an ESC-volunteer your costs for accommodation, transport, food, and pocket money during your stay will be covered according to the framework of the ESC-Program. You will either live in a host family or have your own room in a co-sharing accommodation. We will provide a ticket for public transport in Berlin and you will have a monthly allowance for food.
Formation pendant l’activité
During the tasks you will learn to deal with many new challenges and to look for solutions. You will grow with your tasks while we will give you support through regular feedback meetings. You will develop skills such as teamwork, resilience and creativity.
