PVN is an organization working to promote solidarity, peace and mutual understanding through voluntary exchange. The role of volunteers : Awareness-raising on human rights and intercultural learning with young people in Tirana, engaging young people in social and non/informal educational activities and supporting PVN on the workcamps programme. The aim of the ESC volunteers is to help young people and children with fewer opportunities with social integration, education of human rights, creativity and entertainment. Volunteers will be engaged in the daily/community centre where they will be involved with young people and children, mostly those coming from social, economical and cultural obstacles in Albania. In the center there are around 20- 30 children and youth. The staff of the centre will help out everyday.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
Volunteers share an apartment in the surrounding of Tirana city, and share a room with another volunteer. The apartment will be furnished with living conditions (bed, sheets, blanket, pillow, etc.). There will be an equipped kitchen, toilets, shower and washing machine. The apartment has a common space with TV and internet. Public transport every 10-20 minutes. Travels for work out of Tirana city are reimbursed and volunteers will be accompanied. The volunteers are free to cook by themselves in the house using their monthly budget they will have. There are supermarkets and small shops.
Formation pendant l’activité
Through this ESC project we expect the volunteer/s to learn about human rights and intercultural education and youth work in Albania, to develop skills in non-formal education methods, presentation and communication skills, and to gain experience of working with young people. The volunteer will also learn some Albanian language and will learn about Albanian culture.
Profil du participant
We pay to much attention to the personal and interpersonal development of volunteers we do host, and so far ESC with us has a been a life changing for them. In the same time we do provide a diverse program and open space for ideas of volunteers, so we look for motivated, responsible and active volunteers, who are able to work in the team, work individually and take initiatives. Participants will send a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter (IN ENGLISH) to be selected. They have to live in Burgundy, or Franche-Comté
