Description

The participants will support the local youth of Gumbati village through the organization of recreational-educational activities at the small Educational Center of Gumbati (language courses, sports activities, themed cultural evenings etc.) and through the renovation of the small sports field of the Gumbati school, the only space dedicated to the children and young people of the village. - The participants will organize recreational-educational activities for children with fewer opportunities who attend the scout center of GYE in Rustavi city. - The participants will support the Bio-Farm of Kveda Pona village, an agricultural social cooperative that supports the local community through agricultural work and certified organic food production. Here they will participate in various activities including sowing, harvesting fruits, planting plants, maintenance of fields and greenhouses, production of certified organic dried fruit and artisanal bread and more.

Training during the activity

During the project the volunteers will join an on-arrival training during which they will receive a specific on-field training regarding the activities they will carry out as well as an introductory training regarding the local language and cultural context.

Participant profile

We are looking for 4 volunteers from each country, here is some information to understand if this project is right for you: - Participants must be between 18 and 30 years old and interested in rural development and education. - Participants must be flexible and with a great spirit of adaptation and be willing to live in very rural contexts. - Participants must be highly respectful of the local culture and religion. At least one participant with experience in video-making.
