Description
L’ORANGE BLEUE is looking for someone to participate in one of its main missions: activities aimed at early childhood, and in particular participate in the life of the school support, the toy library and the Orange Bus, a mobile game bus. In the truly underprivileged district of Bas-Clichy, all questions relating to parenthood and childhood are important. That’s why the organisation is looking for someone to motivate with their questions and volunteers to help the local population. Helping children entering school for the first year, leading small workshops for parents and their young children, ensuring that all children can play together at the game library and helping to organize fun events are examples of what the volunteer might do. Of course, he or she can also create their own event in line with the overall project
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer lives in a shared house with 3 or 4 other volunteers in a large house with a garden located in the commune of Villemomble in Seine-Saint-Denis. Each person has a private room and shares 3 bathrooms & toilets, a kitchen, living room, terrace, garden... The house is equipped with wifi, TV, barbecue. 30 minutes by public transport to reach the ORANGE BLEUE. Paris is accessible by train in about 45 minutes depending on the destination. The monthly subscription for the entire regional network is covered. The monthly allowance is about 400 euros per month for food and pocket money.
Formation pendant l’activité
The first two days will be dedicated to a two-day training to best support the integration into the local life and the host structure. Weekly participation in workshops in French is offered if the person needs and wants to. A short training course for children's animators (BAFA) will also be offered. In addition, two seminars are organised by the French agency ERASMUS+. Also, a small internal training in the game library and the associative comic library will be offered.
Profil du participant
As for the profile, L'ORANGE BLEUE search a motivated person, with a real attraction for education, youth comics and mostly games, especially boardgames. Indeed, participation in the life of the game library is an important part of the project. Only one volunteer of Spanish origin is needed, because we works each year with the same sending structure, DON BOSCO in Spain, in order to ensure the quality of the follow-up of the volunteer each time. It's not absolutely necessary that the volunteer already speak French well, the team is able to receive someone who speaks mainly Spanish.
