Description
“Helenów” is a complex of institutions providing education, treatment and welfare for children, youth and adults with disabilities. It specializes in treatment of children with Central Nervous System dysfunctions - it runs a kindergarten, schools and offers various forms of therapies such as hippotherapy, physiotherapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc. The main role of the volunteer is to support the students who stay in the boarding school - helping them with preparation for classes in the morning, helping with self-service routine, organising after-school activities, transporting pupils around the area of the Center, giving personal support and spending time together. The boarding school serves as a place where students can gain autonomy in everyday routine activities. There are teachers and educators who take care of the students professionally - the volunteer is a person of extra personal support. Infopack: https://www.spw.ngo/helenow-infopack
