NGO Izum Youth Club Active is a mobile youth organization, which has been active since 1994 in the field of youth in Tallinn, Estonia. The role of the organization is to promote non-formal education involving youngsters starting from the age of eleven in different activities on local and international levels and provide a variety of activities for self-development. The main activities and topics of the center involve youth cultures (theater, music, dance, and art), organizing workshops and entertainments for youngsters (Flash mob, forum-theater, juggling or different types of games), media and communication – intercultural learning through international projects, especially with the support of the Erasmus+ programme (Youth Initiatives, Youth Exchanges, Training courses, EVS projects).

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The biggest part of work will be focused on the youth in Tallinn in Youth Club Active. However sometimes work will be in the second territory of organization Vihasoo – suburban camp Vihasoo (Tammispea village). There will be organized children camps and different projects for children and youth, where the volunteers will have the biggest part. The volunteers will have all services for work in both territories. The accomodation will be provided by the project. The volunteer will receive pocket money.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will receive an On-Arrival-Training at the beginning and a Mid-Term-Evaluation after half of their time.

Participant profile

Youth Club Actives’ aim is to develop activities for children and youngsters who visit the center. The volunteer would be expected to appreciate young people, interact with them continuously, really take interest in them and in the activities. The volunteer would have to be proactive when interacting with the youth, take initiative in carrying out new ideas on his/her own but also help others in the process as well. Willingness to face challenges head on and also take responsibility are important qualities for the volunteer.
