Ligue de l'Enseignement - Fédération de l'Indre
Castanea Spectacles
Saint-Marcel, France
Description
Castanéa Spectacles is a small, energetic performing‑arts office based in the rural town of Saint‑Marcel (Centre‑Val de Loire). Our three‑person team (Étienne & Manon – production managers, Céline – touring & booking) supports some twenty professional companies in theatre, music and street performance. For the coming season we are hosting one European Solidarity Corps volunteer who will work with Castanéa and, on specific projects, with two close partners in neighbouring Avant‑Scène – a 250‑seat venue presenting 10‑12 events each year (theatre, jazz, contemporary music, comedy, public jam‑sessions). Les Intemporel·les, an 8‑day summer festival entitled “Rencontres des musiques curieuses” that mixes styles, eras and audiences with a strong outreach programme for young, disadvantaged or remote publics. Key moments of the mission August – open‑air production Romain des Bois in the Gallo‑Roman theatre (Castanéa). September – Avant‑Scène launches its 2025‑26 seas
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live in a flat in Argenton-sur-Creuse city center (small town with 5000 inhabitants) with others volounteers. The volunteers will have his own room but share kitchen and bathroom with the other volunteer. The place of the mission is 2km from there, so we will lend a cycle to go there everyday. The volunteer will get money for food and leisure.
