Description
Rae Youth Centre is an institution managed by Rae municipality. We have 5 youth centers all over the municipality: Peetri, Järveküla, Jüri, Lagedi and Vaida. The main objective is to organise young people's free time and provide them with quality leisure. Our target group are youngsters and we are: open for everybody, equal partnership, equal opportunities, supporting education and enterpreneurship, learning through games and play, promoting well-being, social inclusion. Open facilities of the youth center allow young people to spend their free time using means such as the billiards, table tennis, board games, movies etc. We also organize youth conferences, camps for youngsters, working camps and our youth can write projects. Service will last from September 2025 until July 2026 (11 months). Dates and duration are flexible. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will stay at the university dorm or shared apartment with other volunteers. There is also possibility to change the accommodation if the dorm solution is not suitable for some reason. Volunteers will receive monthly food and pocket money. All work related transport will be covered by the programme.
Training during the activity
Necessary training is received on-site from tutors. Estonian National Agency will organise on arrival and mid term meetings.
Participant profile
In order to make the center's everyday life more culturally diverse Rae Youth Center is working with European Solidarity Corps so that international volunteers can bring their culture into youthwork. Volunteer can help us by teaching kids games, words in his/her language, doing some workshops. There is opportunity to help with event organisation, decoration etc (creativity is appreciated).
