Description

Activities in the Svitene and neighboring villages's youth centers: Plan, organize, and lead creative and educational workshops where youth can learn new skills and engage in creative activities. Create and publish posts, stories, and videos on NGO social media. Assist in other NGO projects related to community environmental improvement, local community cultural events, and promotion of youth participation. Help with ideas for new projects and project writing. Your mission will be to keep the youth center alive :) Work: 5 days a week (3 days in youth centers), 5-6 hours a day. There is plenty of room for your ideas and initiatives.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers will be provided with comfortable and safe housing in a 2 room flat in Svitene. The flat is located approximately 400 meters from the youth center. Each volunteer will have a private room, while common areas - kitchen, and bathroom will be shared. The house features wood heating. The kitchen is fully equipped for volunteers to prepare their own meals. Volunteers will receive a monthly allowance to cover food and personal expenses. You will be responsible for preparing your own meals. Volunteers will be reimbursed for travel expenses according to ESC guidelines.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will receive comprehensive training tailored to their roles. This includes a five-day (one-week) orientation covering local culture, project specifics, and organizational structure. You will also learn Canva, AI, emotional intelligence, time and finance management. Cultural integration workshops will explore local traditions and customs. Weekly or bi-weekly meetings with project leaders will address progress, provide guidance, and resolve any issues.

Participant profile

For these activities, we seek volunteers who are adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn. Initiative and Self-Motivation: Ability to keep themselves engaged and productive. Curiosity: Enthusiasm for learning new skills and trying new activities. Adaptability: Comfort with rural living conditions, where entertainment options are limited.
