Description
Zavod Bob (NGO) is searching for 2 volunteers to be part of a vibrant collective and collaborate in 2 Youth Centers. YC ULCA is oriented towards urban culture; safe space for creative and quality leisure time of youth (15-29) and offers support in their overall personal and social development, including development of project ideas and career. It encourages engagement in artistic activities and public events according to interest (e.g. DIY, break or other dance forms, graffiti/sketch session, theater, exhibitions, DJ). YC Bob offers Youth(15-29) safe place, social and creative activities(e.g.arts, board games, baking and personal support. Its purpose is to activate youth and encourage their participation and active citizenship by supporting them in discovering their potential, competence development or realization of ideas. Includes street-based youth work, which is reaching (building trusting relationships and supporting them) vulnerable youth in streets, parks, neighborhoods.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
As a part of the volunteering project, we will provide you with a private room in a fully equipt rented apartment which is shared 3 other volunteers from different countries. Apartment is 3,2 km away from the youth center, close to shops, restaurants, pharmacy, market, bus stations, city bike, stations, parks... We will cover accommodation, food, transport (providing a personal bike and public transportation card for winter months) and pocket money expenses: avarage 340€ monthly. Formation pendant l’activité
First two weeks of volunteering are “orientational weeks” in order to get to know a variety of activities at Zavod Bob. As a part of a volunteering project you will get a non-formal course of Slovenian language organized in a youth center. You will also have training for volunteers: 5 days on arrival and 5 days mid-term evaluation training organized by the Slovenian national agency somewhere in Slovenia. You will also be involved in the final project evaluation session. During the volunteering there will be international training hosted by Zavod Bob which you can attend according to interest.
Profil du participant
Interested in Youth work and likes to participate in group activities. Good interpersonal and communication skills, reliable, community oriented, self-initiated, inclusive. Has social and political awareness. Comfortable with afternoon volunteering. Able to coexist in a flat with others. Fluent in english. It is hoped that the volunteer is fully involved in all youth center activities, also supporting youth workers with preparations, implementation and evaluation. Sharing ideas on evolving the existing projects and creating new ones (eg. workshops for young people). Driving license is a plus.
