IBO is an NGO based in Ferrara, Italy. Its mission is to promote access to education as a fundamental right for every person, especially children and youth from disadvantaged communities. This aim is carried out through a wide range of projects, from volunteering to international cooperation in the field of education and training, in Italy and worldwide (Africa, Latin America, etc.) Every year we host international people in our office. This is what you will be doing: - Assistance in project management and communication with international partners - Workshops in local schools and community spaces - Communication and fundraising - Support during the organization and participation in solidarity workcamps - Planning of campaigns and events - Project meetings. Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
Volunteers will live at Casa IBO, in Ferrara, together with other international volunteers. The house has different rooms, bathrooms, one big kitchen, a garden and a terrace. The house is in the same building of the offices. What we offer: monthly pocket money, food, round-trip travel expenses, Italian language course, insurance, youth pass certificate.
Formación durante la actividad
We offer volunteers the opportunity to attend these face-to-face trainings: one arrival general training about IBO, arrival and mid term trainings organized by our National Agency for Youth, one Italian course, and other trainings and workshops depending on the period (e.g. camp leader training).
Perfil del participante
We are looking for candidates with good knowledge of English, at least basic knowledge of Italian, and high motivation and enthusiasm to volunteer and start a new experience in a new country! Some experience in our fields of action (solidarity workcamps, fundraising, international cooperation and international volunteering) as well as skills in events coordination and educational paths, is a plus, but not required.
