Description

This mission is carried out by Concordia in partnership with the EIC high school which is part of a large non profit school organization. One of the specificities of EIC high school is a third place called the CUBE that includes several floors with a fablab or one dedicated to audiovisual sector. The volunteer can be offered assignments on a variety of themes (solidarity, citizenship, sustainable development, etc.), depending on current activities at the facility and the wishes of the young volunteer. Missions can be the following : Supporting and raising awareness of eco-delegates ; helping to welcome European and international partners ; implementing solidarity projects from an international perspective (fund-raising, diary of major European events, etc.) ; encourage young people's involvement in solidarity activities and help them develop their social and professional skills ; and contribute to social media management.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

The school provides an apartment and offers the possibility of taking meals in the school restaurant free of charge. The volunteers will receive an allowance for food (9 euros per day) and pocket money (7 euros per day).The apartment is next to the school and is fully equiped (with a courtyard and a private accommodation). For transportation, the school is a 10 minute walk from the city center, where the metro serves the entire metropolis. The volunteer will have an office next to his/her main tutor's office, which is equipped with a PC, phone and Internet access.

Formation pendant l’activité

In addition to these missions, the volunteer can take part in courses according to his or her interests, and dedicate time to personal projects and language courses.

Profil du participant

We are looking for a person who is motivated by the themes of the mission, ready to work in a team, and able to take initiatives and develop personal projects during the missions. The volunteer must also be able to interact with a group of young people and to express an idea in front of an audience.
