From Parkeri NGO (https://www.instagram.com/asociacionparkeri/ ) we are looking for 1 volunteer to develop their project supporting the activities in the town of Puentes Viejas. Puentes Viejas is composed by 4 villages (Mangirón, Cinco Villas, Serrada de la Fuente and Paredes de Buitrago). The tasks of this project are: - Supporting the social animator doing leisure activities with the children and elder people of the 4 villages - Supporting Parkeri association with social media, administrative stuff... - Supporting Villafasy team with gardening - Supporting the sheppard and going to the goats of the village in case the volunteer is interested - Summer camp in Mangirón on July 2025 Depending on the period of the year, the activities will change according to the nature cycles.
Alojamiento, manutención y transporte
We are located in a very small village, Serrada de la Fuente, Madrid, Spain. Serrada de la Fuente is located one hour and a half by car from Madrid city center and 3 hours away by public transport. Serrada de la Fuente is a beautiful area in the mountains in Madrid, totally rural with 70 inhabitants ( https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serrada_de_la_Fuente ). Parkeri NGO will be in charge of accommodation (one house for you and other volunteers to live), for food and transport arrangements according to the European Solidarity Corps standards.
Formación durante la actividad
Parkeri NGO staff are experts on the European Solidarity Corps (trainers on the Programme since 2014), so constant support will be provided to the volunteers. Mandatory trainings, like On Arrival training and Mid Term Evaluation, will be developed according to the Spanish National Agency calendar. Learning support will be provided and Youthpass will be given at the end of the volunteers' projects. We will also offer the volunteers to participate in trainings connected with non-violent communication, sociocracy and other non-formal education trainings/activities.
Perfil del participante
Due to the nature of this volunteer project, in a rural area and that will work with young people in risk of exclusion and mental health issues, we need: - High motivation - Person committed - Negative certificate of sexual misdemeanors - Negative certificate of criminal/penal misdemeanors - High motivation to develop the project in a very isolated rural area in the mountains In Parkeri, we believe in INCLUSION, GENDER EQUITY, SOCIAL JUSTICE, SUSTAINABILITY and we have an ANTI-RACIST and DECREASING approach as organization principles.
