Take Me Serious
Fundatia Csemete
Cluj-Napoca, Roumanie
Description
The planned activities will take place in Csemete Nursery School, among under-aged minority children and some children with special needs, with four volunteers coming from EU. The activities are designed for minority children. The working methods will be mainly playing games, and through this teaching English, swim, sports, art, culture, music, science, healthy living habits, environment-awareness and stories. Next to this there will be many outings, presentations of the volunteer's countries by them, celebrations, races etc. All these activities aims to integrate the Hungarian minority children into the Romanian society, to offer them equal chances in becoming happy grown up persons, to raise the quality of their lives, to understand that they are also European citizens. On the other hand by the planned activities the volunteers will improve their English, will develop their character and personality, will learn to manage their time, money and and abilities, will acquire competences.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The Foundation will provide accommodation for the volunteers, probably two volunteers will share a room to develop more social skills. Cluj-Napoca is the second biggest city in Romania, with 11 universities, full of vibrating young people. The Foundation will provide lunch and snacks when the kitchen is open. We would try our best to find the best and closest accommodation opportunities, and in that way the volunteers will not need transport. As for transport from home country to Cluj-Napoca, Romania, we have a tight budget for that and we will try to find the best plane tickets for that.
Formation pendant l’activité
The volunteer will be offered a twenty hours Hungarian language course, in order to learn some basics. The Romanian National Agency will organise an on-arrival training, and a mid-term evaluation, where the volunteers will meet with their fellow volunteers serving in Romania. As Cluj-Napoca is a huge city, every volunteer can find according to their best choices extra training opportunities in each area of their interests.
Profil du participant
As the work in the kindergarten supposes play and teaching with under-aged children, aged between 1 and 6 years old, probably female volunteers would be more motivated to take on a journey for 11 months with children (of course that not exclude male volunteers). The language of the project is English, so intermediate English proficiency would greatly help the volunteer to communicate with the coordinator, staff, teachers, children and parents. If you just graduated from school, and not yet decided to study further or start to work, it would be the ideal place to know children, yourself, and find out how would you like to continue your lifepath.
