Description
We are looking for volunteers for the Centro IRDA. These are a rate of youth centers where young people (10-20 years old) come afterschool and socialize with their peers and receive support. Tasks: - Help children and teens with their homework; - Support the workshops organized by the center on topics such as citizenship, music, and art; - Support the educators in organizing sports activities; - Develop new ideas to involve the local community; - Share your experience as a volunteer and disseminate European opportunities among young people; - Support the communication through social media and blog posts; - Give visibility to the activities by taking pictures and videos; - Accompany during summer or field trips and holidays.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
You will share a flat in Milan, with DOUBLE rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen. You will share your room with another volunteer of the same gender. Pocket money of 6 euros per day will be provided monthly. 160 euros per month for the food expenses. You will receive a monthly subscription to public transport to commute to the location of the activities - to some centers the travel time might be up to 1-1,5 hour. The travel expenses will be refunded on the basis defined by the European Commission.
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will participate in the On Arrival Training organized by the Italian National Agency. Also, the coordinating organization No Borders, will organize trainings with the volunteers.
Profil du participant
Available for 4th of September 2024 - 28th of February 2025. Motivated to learn Italian and to communicate with locals; ready to work with children and young people; willing to do arts, sports; work in a team. Has a strong respect of the rules, patient, and creative; communicative and open-minded; able to cooperate with educators; ready to learn Italian; can plan, organise and manage activities. We expect your CV and Motivation to be in ENGLISH!
