CGE Erfurt e.V. is a non-profit NGO running many large-scale international projects, across Europe and the globe. Our projects work with local activists, migrant communities, NGOs and informal initiatives. Our office is located in the north of Erfurt, in a revived socio-cultural hub where other artists and initiatives found affordable space. We look forward to welcoming young professionals, eager to engage with intercultural environment, put their knowledge to practice and create innovative solutions for better impact. Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

All volunteers in CGE are accommodated in a comfortable, fully equipped shared flat, located 5 min away from the city center. The food allowance is given to the volunteers every month, based on the Erasmus+ regulations. A volunteer is provided with a bike to travel around the city and/or a local transportation ticket. Mentor support is provided by former ESC volunteers, as well as ex-colleagues.

Formación durante la actividad

Throughout the year, the volunteers accompany the project managers to learn from and with them. High emphasis is put on teamwork and co-creation during the conceptualisation and implementation of activities. The volunteers will additionally attend various local and national trainings to boost their skills and competences for future professional careers in non-profit management, project writing, facilitation or multimedia work.

Perfil del participante

We are looking for a volunteer with a profile in: - social or political sciences, - experience in non-governmental sector or EU project management, - experience in non-formal education (participation in the Erasmus+ project) - experience in event management or community building. The volunteer is expected to support the team in conceptualising, preparing and implementing local actions, networking with stakeholders, and working with target groups (youth, migrant and rural communities). The volunteeers, for example, could co-develop a short educational program for an event run locally. This is an opportunity to collect professional and personal experiences, by supporting project managers, and building solidarity at the local, EU and global level.
