Description
CGE Erfurt e.V. is a non-profit NGO running many large-scale international projects, across Europe and the globe. Our projects work with local activists, migrant communities, NGOs and informal initiatives. Our office is located in the north of Erfurt, in a revived socio-cultural hub where other artists and initiatives found affordable space. We look forward to welcoming young professionals, eager to engage with intercultural environment, put their knowledge to practice and create innovative solutions for better impact. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
All volunteers in CGE are accommodated in a comfortable, fully equipped shared flat, located 5 min away from the city center. The food allowance is given to the volunteers every month, based on the Erasmus+ regulations. A volunteer is provided with a bike to travel around the city and/or a local transportation ticket. Mentor support is provided by former ESC volunteers, as well as ex-colleagues.
Training during the activity
Throughout the year, the volunteers accompany the project managers to learn from and with them. High emphasis is put on teamwork and co-creation during the conceptualisation and implementation of activities. The volunteers will additionally attend various local and national trainings to boost their skills and competences for future professional careers in non-profit management, project writing, facilitation or multimedia work.
Participant profile
We are looking for a volunteer with skills in using Canva/Adobe Suite for graphical design (poster, publications, social media work) and/or video making software (CapCut, Final Cut etc.) for producing documentaries, short movies, Reels. In the motivation letter, please, indicate a link to the portfolio, e.g. Behance, of your previous works (not necessary professional ones, but showing your experience with the mentioned programs). The volunteer is expected to support the team in collaborating on visual communication for projects, developing media outputs and producing unique content, as well as working with target groups (youth, migrant and rural communtiies). This is an opportunity to collect professional and personal experiences, by supporting project managers, and building solidarity at the local, EU and global level.
