Description
The volunteers will support the staff in the daily activities with people with disabilities, programming the activities, organising space and material, doing activities and games with them. “Coccinella” includes various areas of work. The daily centre, the laboratory, the garden & kitchen and the shop. You can help the people with disabilities doing written exercises, work with them in the garden and afterwards cook delicious dishes from the harvested vegetables. You can also work in the little shop of the organisation where you’d sell self made products like bags or key chains. These products you can also create yourself (with the help of the people with disabilities) in the laboratory. You can bring in new ideas, help preparing orders and sew your own creat. This Inclusive project involve several volunteers from different nationalities that will share the experience in Modigliana, a small town in Italy.
Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport
The volunteer will share a room with another volunteer from the same gender, in an apartment dedicated to host all volunteers (max. 6 persons), with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. The accommodation is completed furnished with all necessary, and free of charge for the volunteer. It will be given food allowance and pocket money, monthly. For some activities the transport or accommodation will be provided by the Organisation.
Formation pendant l’activité
Volunteers will have different training moments: - pre-departure preparation, - on arrival training, - task related (connected with the target group needs), - language course (online for all the mobility), - On Arrival Training organised by the Italian National Agency.
Profil du participant
We are searching for a volunteer , with openess to work with people with DISABILITIES. We are also able to host young people with fewer opportunities. Volunteers should: - be flexible, openminded and willing to learn and share abilities and competences, - have some organisational skills to support on the programming and realisation of activities, - authonomy at work, but also being part of a team, - have a lot of energy and some interest / skills on sports. - basic knowledge of Italian is a plus.
